All are wonderfully detailed, with desks, monitors, storage drawers and other office related furniture. There are four floors to the Daily Bugle all in all, with the upper three containing a mixture of offices and storage rooms. Outside, there’s a news stand to the side of building, planters at the front, and bins as the rear, as well as some other minor detailing. By the time you’re done with the first floor, which will use up the first six or so bags, you’ll have a wonderful entrance to the Daily Bugle offices, complete with a tiled floor entrance, reception desk, and other decorations. Starting out with the large base plate, you lay the foundations for the Daily Bugle building while also creating some detail for the area surrounding it. The buildĪs you’d expect, you build LEGO 76178 Daily Bugle from the ground up.

There are over 30 bags in all, and all but one of them is numbered 1 through to 16.Īlongside the bags is a 376-page instruction book with a nice introduction to the set by the designer, and two sticker sheets. Stupidly, however, you need to open the white box within the box to access the first batch of them. Like many large sets these days, LEGO 76178 Daily Bugle features a box within a box, containing pretty much half of the overall bags. LEGO 76178 Daily Bugle will retail for US$299.99 will be released on on for LEGO VIP members, and 1 June 2021 for everyone else. What’s inside of the Daily Bugle’s box you ask? The short answer is: a heck of a lot of bags. Here are more lifestyle photos for you to enjoy.

This is a really fantastic build, and I love the detail of the interiors that show off the bustling Daily Bugle Newsroom. I love, love, love that LEGO included this Spider-man Desk Meme in the build. Why is this a contender for set of the year? Here are more shots of the build – I especially love the brick-built signage out the front. Including a Spider-car that can climb walls, because this wouldn’t be a LEGO Spider-man set without a spider-vehicle. Seriously, how cool does this look? The building’s height makes great use of Spider-man’s web slinging and serves as an expansive backdrop for all sorts of different poses and action. The exterior is very skyscraper-y, and features this awesome frozen-in-time shot of the Green Goblin bursting out of the structure, with twisted steel and broken glass for dramatic effect. Here’s the back which features 4 floors of the Daily Bugle’s famed newsrooms, and J Jonah Jameson’s offices. The Daily Bugle towers above most other LEGO builds at 82cm tall – handsome man bun man for scale, making this a standout build to display, that also benefits from a relatively small footprint.

There are of course some classic Spider-man villains like Rhino, Kingpin, Scorpion and the Vulture missing, but there’s a TV screen on the outside that references Dr Kurt Connors (Lizard), Professor Miles Warren (Jackal) and Scarlet Spider, a Spider-Mman clone.

Let’s get to the main selling point of the set (not the height, unbelievably) but the incredible selection of 25 minifigures included.įor Marvel fans, the inclusion of Daredevil, The Punisher and Blade are just mind-blowing, especially since Blade and The Punisher are usually R-rated properties, and Daredevil’s Netflix series wasn’t the most family friendly.īut kudos on LEGO to finally releasing these 3 minifigures. What minifigures are in the LEGO Daily Bugle (76178) Not hyperbole, but this is a very, very strong contender for set of the year. The LEGO Daily Bugle will be available exclusively from and your local LEGO Brand Retail store.
